PERMANENT MAKEUP FAQ’s

What is Powder Ombre?

Powder Ombre, is created with a machine to create a gradual fade effect on the brows. The machine deposits pigment into the skin, depositing darker towards the tails and gradually fades to a lighter color towards the front of the brow. This service mimics the look of makeup which is more filled in and defined. Ombre powder brows are for everyone and all skin types.

How frequent do I get a touch up?

After the initial appointment, it is recommended that clients come back for a 8-10 week touch up to fine tune to the shape & color. Touch ups after the second should be 12-18 months after. Touch ups depend on clients’ preference and lifestyle.

Why can’t certain health conditions get this service?

Clients who have underlying health conditions and are on medications can cause improper healing to the cosmetic tattoo. Clients who are on certain medications can cause a delay in the blood to clot, bruising, and risk of infection. It is always recommended to have your physician’s clearance prior to making an appointment.

What can cause the tattoo to fade?

Many factors can cause the cosmetic tattoo to fade, such as skin type, sun exposure, living an active lifestyle, certain skin care products, etc. Tattoos over time will fade due to our skin’s natural shedding process, hence the recommendation to get 12-18 month touch ups depending on clients’ desired look.

How long is healing time?

Like fading, different clients see different healing times. It is recommended to give your cosmetic tattoo at least 7-10 days of healing time. This includes the stages of it getting dark, scabbing, and peeling off. Everyone heals differently depending on after care. Clients who follow strict pre and post care see better results in their tattoos.

I have previous Brow work, are you able to help me?

Working on clients who have previous brow work is taken by a case by case basis. If inquiring about a cover up clients must send me photo of their brows in natural lighting, no makeup on them, and with no filters. Clients must also include what type of service they’ve previously had and how many sessions. The main purpose of a cover up is to ensure skin integrity. If the brows are too dark, I will recommend laser removal.
